PACINO STOPS TRAFFIC WHILE FILMING AT OAKLAND COUNTY COURTHOUSE

Crews are spending the day shooting exterior scenes at the Oakland County courthouse and near the closed Ducky's Bar, at 44785 Woodward Ave., and the Sagano Motel, at 789 Woodward Ave.

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies, who often found themselves a bit curious about the filming, blocked off the entire south entrance to the courthouse building.

Jurors and judges alike seemed to be unable to pull themselves away from the windows, attempting to get a good look at Pacino, who stood off the side with two deputies standing near him.

“Everybody is just excited to see Al Pacino,”...

AL PACINO'S PERSONAL SERVICES FOR HIRE... ?!

Turns out Al found himself playing the part of an Italian gigolo for real when upon finding himself homeless and hungry. He told The New York Post that

“At 20, I lived in Sicily by selling the only asset I had – my body, … An older woman traded food and housing in return for sex. I woke mornings not really loving myself.”

Let's hope the food was worth it, if not the sex!

It also reminds me of the saying: Never say never because you never know what you might have to do in order to survive.

YOU DON'T KNOW JACK... FILMING NEAR YOU? But only if you live in Oakland!

Home Box Office filmmakers for the Jack Kevorkian biopic "You Don't Know Jack" will be in town this week to film scenes for the movie already in production in New York City.

Both interior and exterior shots are planned at the Oakland Circuit courthouse off Telegraph Road in Pontiac...

Pacino has the lead role of Kevorkian, but don't look for him and the man who became known as "Dr. Death" getting together during the shoot...

"Pacino doesn't even want to meet Jack until the filming is done on this project," said Morganroth, a consultant on the film. Like several other principals close to the Kevorkian story, he will be interviewed for a behind-the-scenes "making of" the film expected to be released sometime next year.

Courthouse filming is expected to be shot Thursday and Friday. And for some who were around when Kevorkian made headlines here in the 1990s, the scene may be like travelling back in time.

PACINO POSES FOR ELTON JOHN'S AIDS CHARITY

Celebrity photographer Andy Gotts is used to mingling with famous stars as he captures their quirky portraits.

The man who was brought up in north Norfolk now has an A-list contacts book and portfolio brimming with names such as George Clooney, Kate Winslet, David Beckham and Naomi Campbell.

But he is now finding himself in the spotlight too after his pictures of big names from the world of show business helped win him a hat trick of top awards from British Institute of Professional Photographers.

A shot of actor Al Pacino taken at his Beverly Hills home, and one of movie icon Paul Newman just a month before he died, were among a set of pictures that won Mr Gotts prizes in the first year he has entered the competition.

But he was also given the final, prestigious Fox Talbot Award for his creativity and professionalism.

The picture of Pacino is part of a project he is doing for Sir Elton John's Aids charity, which sees him photographing the 10 biggest icons in 10 different categories for a coffee table fund-raising book.

“I realised I wanted to be a celebrity photographer. There is something about being in charge of someone who is famous, spending time with them, and getting them to do things for you.”

Umm... yes I imagine it would be rather nice being in charge of Al for a while ; - ) LOL

YOU DON'T KNOW JACK...

Al is currently filming 'You Don't Know Jack', which follows the life of doctor-assisted suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian. Kevorkian, now 81, helped an estimated 130 people end their lives and was subsequently convicted of second-degree murder. He was released from prison in 2007 and now occasionally gives lectures.

Co-stars include Susan Sarandon, John Goodman, Danny Huston, Brenda Vaccaro, and directed by Barry Levinson. The television movie for HBO is expected to be a black comedy... not quite sure how that's going to work?! Scheduled to premiere in 2010.

OMG... Michael Corleone lives on!
